Ncell currently offers daily, weekly, monthly and long-validity internet packages, including regular data packs and unlimited/FUP-based Super Value packs. Most packs can be purchased through the Ncell App, Ncell's official website, or *17123#. Prices range from Rs. 35 for a 1-day 1.25GB pack up to Rs. 8,499 for a 365-day unlimited Super Value pack.
Ncell changes its packages often enough that many existing Nepal blog articles are already out of date. Rather than a static price list, this guide is built from Ncell's own Packs and Plans page, checked on the date shown above, with the calculations, comparisons and plain-language explanations that Ncell's own table doesn't provide.
Current Ncell Data Packs in Nepal
This is Ncell's full ordinary data pack lineup as listed on its official Packs and Plans page. Prices include tax. Use the filter buttons to narrow the table by budget or validity.
| Price | Data | Validity | Type | Best For |

| Rs. 150 | 7 GB | 7 days | Fixed | Light weekly browsing, no safety net |
| Rs. 200 | 20 GB + reduced-speed data | 7 days | Unlimited/FUP | Best weekly pack for most people |

| Rs. 499 | 30 GB | 30 days | Fixed | Best fixed monthly value |
Data combo and Super Value packs are covered separately below, since they mix calls, SMS and data differently from this ordinary data-only table.
Ncell Data Combo Packs
| Price | Includes | Validity | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 949 | Unlimited Calls + 3GB Data | 90 days | Light users who mainly need calls |
| Rs. 1,699 | Unlimited Calls + 25GB/month (FUP 256 Kbps) + 100 SMS/day | 90 days | 3-month commitment, moderate data |
| Rs. 3,499 | Unlimited Calls + 12GB Data | 360 days | Year-long calls-first users |

Best Ncell Data Packs by Usage
These recommendations are Merokalam's editorial judgment based on value and real usage patterns, not official Ncell rankings.
Rs. 50 pack
1 day validity, better value than the smaller Rs. 35/40 packs if you'll actually use it.
Rs. 99 pack
Good match for a short weekend trip or temporary outage.
Rs. 200 pack
The unlimited safety net matters more than saving Rs. 50 on the fixed Rs. 150 pack.
Rs. 499 pack
Lowest cost per GB of any ordinary data pack.
Rs. 799 Super Value
Highest high-speed quota before the 256 Kbps reduced-speed tier begins.
Rs. 699 Super Value
Unlimited calls included, strong balance of price and quota.
Rs. 249 pack
7-day combo pack, good for a busy short-term period.
Cost Per GB: Which Ncell Pack Gives the Most Data for Your Money?
Ncell's own table doesn't calculate this, but it's often the most useful number for comparing packs of different sizes. For fixed-volume packs, price divided by GB gives an approximate cost per GB.
| Package | Price | Data | Approx. Rs./GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1-Day Pack | Rs. 35 | 1.25 GB | ~Rs. 28.00 |
| 1-Day Pack | Rs. 40 | 1.5 GB | ~Rs. 26.67 |
| Double Majja Pack | Rs. 150 | 7 GB | ~Rs. 21.43 |
| Monthly Pack | Rs. 349 | 12 GB | ~Rs. 29.08 |
| Monthly Pack | Rs. 499 | 30 GB | ~Rs. 16.63 |
| Super Value 599 | Rs. 599 | 25 GB FUP | ~Rs. 23.96 |
| Super Value 699 | Rs. 699 | 50 GB FUP | ~Rs. 13.98 |
We've deliberately left the four Rs. 799-and-up Super Value packs out of this specific table. They're labelled "Unlimited" with a 200GB FUP threshold, and calculating a per-GB rate on a pack most people won't fully use would be misleading. If you genuinely burn through 150-200GB a month, the Rs. 799 pack becomes exceptional value; if you don't, a smaller pack is the honest choice.
Ncell 1-Day Data Packs
| Price | Data | FUP | Activation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 35 | 1.25 GB | None published, fixed volume | App, website or *17123# |
| Rs. 40 | 1.5 GB | None published, fixed volume | App, website or *17123# |
| Rs. 50 | 5 GB then reduced speed | Speed after 5GB not published by Ncell | App, website or *17123# |
Which 1-Day Ncell Pack Is Best?
For light messaging and social media browsing, the Rs. 35 pack is usually enough. If you'll be watching video, using navigation apps, or need a mobile hotspot for the day, the Rs. 50 pack is the safer choice since it keeps you connected at reduced speed even if you go over 5GB. We won't claim an exact number of hours of video this gets you, video quality settings change data use dramatically, so treat 5GB as roughly a few hours of standard-definition streaming or considerably less at high definition.
Ncell 3-Day Data Packs
| Price | Data | Validity | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 99 | 10 GB then reduced speed | 3 days | Weekend travel, short visits |
Ncell's lineup only has one dedicated 3-day pack, but it fills a real gap between the 1-day and weekly options. It suits weekend travel, a short visit to family, or bridging a temporary home Wi-Fi outage without committing to a full week or month of data you won't fully use.
Ncell 7-Day Data Packs
| Price | Data | Calls | Validity | FUP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 150 | 7 GB | Standard rates | 7 days | None, fixed volume |
| Rs. 200 | 20 GB then reduced speed | Standard rates | 7 days | Not specified by Ncell for this pack |
| Rs. 249 | 20 GB then reduced speed | Unlimited | 7 days | Not specified by Ncell for this pack |
Best Weekly Ncell Package
The Rs. 200 pack is our pick for most weekly users. It costs Rs. 50 more than the fixed Rs. 150 pack but nearly triples the high-speed quota and keeps you connected at reduced speed afterward instead of cutting off completely. If you also make a lot of calls that week, the Rs. 249 combo pack adds unlimited calling for just Rs. 49 more, which is difficult to beat if you'd otherwise pay per-minute rates.
Ncell Monthly Data Packs
Ncell's monthly-length packs use 30-day validity consistently across this lineup, we did not find any pack officially listed with 28-day validity at the time of this check. If you've seen "28-day" mentioned elsewhere, confirm it against Ncell's current page before assuming it still applies, since Ncell has used 28-day cycles on other products in the past.
| Price | Data | Calls | FUP | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 349 | 12 GB | Standard rates | None, fixed volume | 30 days |
| Rs. 399 | 1 GB per day (resets daily) | Standard rates | None, resets daily instead | 30 days |
| Rs. 499 | 30 GB | Standard rates | None, fixed volume | 30 days |
The Rs. 399 pack works differently from the others, it gives 1GB fresh each day for 30 days rather than one lump sum. That's genuinely useful if you tend to overspend data early in a cycle and then run dry, since it forces a daily budget. But unused daily data typically does not roll over, so it can work out worse than the Rs. 499 pack for someone with uneven day-to-day usage. Compare your own habits rather than assuming the daily-refresh structure is automatically better or worse.
What Does "Unlimited" Data Mean on Ncell?
FUP stands for Fair Usage Policy. Ncell's four main Super Value packs (Rs. 449 to Rs. 799, plus the longer-validity Rs. 2,299/4,499/8,499 versions of the Rs. 799 pack) all publish an exact reduced speed: 256 Kbps after the relevant high-speed quota is exhausted. That's the clearest FUP disclosure Ncell provides on its official page.
For smaller combo packs labelled "Unlimited Data" (the Rs. 50, 99, 200 and 249 packs), Ncell's public summary table does not publish a specific reduced speed the way it does for Super Value packs. We won't invent a number Ncell hasn't confirmed, if the exact post-FUP speed matters to you for one of these smaller packs, check the pack's confirmation SMS or ask Ncell directly before relying on it for anything time-sensitive.
Example: How a 50GB FUP Pack Actually Works
Ncell Super Value Packs
Super Value packs bundle unlimited all-Nepal calls, daily SMS, high-speed FUP data and longer validity options into a single product, separate from the ordinary data-only packs above.
- 7GB high-speed data
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 100 SMS/day
- 25GB high-speed data
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 100 SMS/day
- 50GB high-speed data
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 100 SMS/day
- 200GB high-speed data (labelled Unlimited)
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 150 SMS/day + Lionsgate Play
- Same as Rs. 799 pack
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 150 SMS/day + Lionsgate Play
- Same as Rs. 799 pack
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 150 SMS/day + Lionsgate Play
- Same as Rs. 799 pack
- Unlimited All Nepal calls
- 150 SMS/day + Lionsgate Play
The three longer-validity packs (90, 180 and 365 days) carry the same daily benefits as the Rs. 799 pack, you're paying for extra months upfront rather than getting a different quota. On a cost-per-day basis they land close together (roughly Rs. 23-27/day across all four), so choose based on how far in advance you're comfortable prepaying, not because the longer packs are secretly cheaper day to day.
Ncell Data Saapati
Data Saapati is Ncell's emergency data loan for prepaid customers whose balance has run low, separate from ordinary prepaid data packs.
| Saapati Value | Service Fee | You Get | Validity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rs. 50 | ~Rs. 2.48 | 5 GB high-speed data + 100 SMS | 1 day |
| Rs. 99 | ~Rs. 2.48 | 10 GB high-speed data + 100 SMS/day | 3 days |
Dial *9988# to access Saapati. It's available to prepaid customers whose SIM has been active for more than 30 days. The borrowed amount plus the service fee is automatically deducted from your very next recharge, if that recharge is smaller than what you owe, the full recharge is taken and the remainder is deducted from the recharge after that. You cannot take a new Saapati while a previous one is still outstanding.
Which Ncell Data Pack Should You Choose?
Rs. 150 or Rs. 349
WhatsApp, Messenger and basic browsing rarely need more than 7-12GB a week or month.
Rs. 200 weekly
Facebook, Instagram and TikTok add up quickly, the FUP safety net matters here.
Rs. 499 or Rs. 449 Super Value
Pick based on whether you use more data or more calling minutes day to day.
Rs. 699 or Rs. 799
Video needs a bigger high-speed quota than casual browsing.
Rs. 699 Super Value
Video calls, email and hotspot use benefit from the 50GB quota plus unlimited calls.
Rs. 99 (3-day)
Matches a short trip without paying for a full month you won't use.
Rs. 799 Super Value
200GB FUP is the largest high-speed quota Ncell currently offers.
Rs. 249 or Rs. 449
Combo packs are usually cheaper than paying for data and calls separately.
Find the Best Ncell Pack for You
Answer a few quick questions and we'll suggest a current pack from this guide.
How to Activate an Ncell Data Pack
Ncell's official pack page links directly to its App and website for every pack, that's the emphasis Ncell itself puts on how customers should buy. USSD remains available as an alternative.
Method 1: Ncell App
Open the Ncell App, go to My Account, choose the pack you want and confirm payment. This works even when your active data pack has run dry, since Ncell zero-rates traffic to its own app, and it avoids USSD network congestion issues common in busy areas.
Method 2: Ncell Website
Every pack on Ncell's official Packs and Plans page has a direct "Via Website" purchase link. This is the same source we used to verify every price in this guide.
Method 3: USSD
Dial *17123# and follow the on-screen menu to browse and activate data packs and combo offers. This code is widely used and confirmed by independent Nepal telecom sources, though Ncell's own packs page does not list it directly. Menu sequences can change over time, so if a specific nested step doesn't match what you see, fall back to the App or website.
Method 4: Digital Wallets
Ncell packs can also be purchased and recharged through eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay and other Nepali digital wallets, and through scratch-card recharge using *122*PIN#.
How to Check Remaining Ncell Data
- SMS (most reliable): Send the letter S to 17123. You'll get an immediate reply with your remaining data and exact expiry.
- Ncell App: Open the app and check My Account for real-time remaining data, expiry and usage history. This method uses zero data since Ncell zero-rates its own app.
- USSD: Dial *17123# and look for the account or balance option in the menu.
How Do I Know When My Ncell Data Pack Expires?
Ncell states that its Super Value packs expire at midnight (00:00) on the last valid day, not necessarily exactly the validity period times 24 hours from your purchase time. For example, a 30-day pack activated late in the evening on day 1 still ends at midnight at the end of day 30, not 30 full 24-hour cycles later. We haven't seen this rule restated for every ordinary data pack individually, so check your confirmation SMS or the Ncell App if the exact expiry moment matters for a specific pack, especially for short 1-day and 3-day packs.
Do Ncell Data Packs Renew Automatically?
Ncell explicitly describes its Super Value packs as one-time packs, they do not auto-renew, and you need to manually purchase again once the pack expires. We can't promise this applies identically to every ordinary data pack Ncell sells, renewal mechanics can vary by product, so check the specific pack's terms in its confirmation SMS or the Ncell App before assuming.
Does Unused Ncell Data Carry Forward?
For Super Value packs, Ncell is explicit: unused data from the current cycle does not carry forward, and a fresh allocation begins with your next purchase. We'd treat this as the general expectation across Ncell's prepaid data packs, but confirm for any pack where this specifically affects your decision, since it isn't restated identically for every single product on Ncell's page.
Why Is My Old Ncell Pack No Longer Available?
Ncell periodically changes, renames or retires packages. If you've seen a Rs. 699 "unlimited" pack referenced somewhere with different numbers than what's shown in this guide, or an old screenshot showing packages this article doesn't list, that's very likely because Ncell has since updated its lineup. We can't speculate on exactly why Ncell drops or changes a specific plan unless Ncell has explained it publicly, but the safest approach is always to check Ncell's current official page, App or a recently verified source like this guide rather than trusting an undated screenshot.
Ncell Data Pack Not Working? Try These Checks
- Confirm the pack actually activated, check for Ncell's confirmation SMS or the Ncell App.
- Check your remaining data using the SMS or App method above, you may have already used your high-speed quota.
- Check the pack's expiry, it may have already ended.
- Make sure mobile data is switched on in your phone's settings.
- On a dual-SIM phone, confirm mobile data is set to use your Ncell SIM specifically.
- Restart mobile data or restart your phone.
- Check your network coverage and signal strength in your current location.
- Confirm your APN settings match Ncell's official configuration (APN: web) if data still won't connect after the checks above.
- Contact Ncell customer care at 9005 (free from an Ncell number) if the issue persists.
Will Ncell Use My Main Balance for Internet?
If you're using data without an active pack, Ncell will typically charge pay-as-you-go data rates from your main balance, which can add up fast, particularly for video or large downloads. Always confirm you have an active pack before heavy data use, and check your remaining data regularly using the SMS or App method above so you're not caught out mid-cycle. If Ncell offers a specific balance-protection toggle in its App, enable it and follow the in-app instructions, since exact settings can change and are best confirmed directly in the App rather than from an outdated guide.
Can You Use an Ncell Data Pack for Hotspot?
Ncell doesn't publicly list tethering restrictions on its standard data packs, but always check your specific pack's terms if hotspot use is central to your plan. Keep in mind that hotspot use on a laptop typically burns through data much faster than the same activity on a phone, laptops often stream at higher resolution, sync cloud storage, download OS and app updates, and run background processes you might not notice on mobile.
Approximate Data Usage by Activity
| Activity | Approximate Data Usage |
|---|---|
| Messaging (WhatsApp, Messenger text) | Very low |
| Web browsing | Low |
| Music streaming | Moderate |
| Video calls | Medium to high |
| HD video streaming | High |
| Hotspot/laptop use | Highly variable |
These are deliberately approximate. Video quality settings, app behaviour and background sync can each change actual consumption by several times over, don't treat any fixed GB-per-hour number you see online as universally accurate for your device and settings.
Fixed Data vs Unlimited/FUP vs Combo Packs
| Pack Type | What You Get |
|---|---|
| Fixed Data Pack | A set amount of GB. Once it's used, data typically stops or switches to pay-as-you-go rates until you buy another pack. |
| Unlimited/FUP Pack | A high-speed quota, followed by continued but slower access for the rest of the validity period. |
| Combo Pack | Data bundled with calls and/or SMS, usually cheaper than buying each separately if you need all three. |
What About Ncell Postpaid Internet Packages?
This guide focuses on prepaid Ncell data packs, which is what Ncell's own Packs and Plans page primarily lists and what most individual users in Nepal buy. If Ncell's postpaid packages differ meaningfully in structure or pricing, that deserves its own dedicated comparison rather than a rushed add-on here, we'll cover postpaid separately if there's enough reader demand for it.
Ncell vs NTC Data Packs: Should You Compare Them?
Price is only one factor. Coverage in your specific area, the high-speed quota, FUP speed, validity, and whether you need calls bundled in all matter as much as the sticker price, and actual signal strength where you live or work often decides the real-world outcome more than any published number. For a full side-by-side comparison of both networks, including coverage, speed and calling rates, see our Ncell vs NTC Data Plans guide.
Ncell Package Price Changes
We'll add dated entries here only when a verified price or package change would help explain why a reader might see different numbers somewhere else, not as a full historical archive.
Official Package vs Promotional Offer
Everything in the tables above reflects Ncell's standard, publicly listed packages. Ncell also runs app-only or personalised promotional offers from time to time, these can target specific customers, run for limited dates, or include bonus data not shown on the public page. If you see an offer inside your own Ncell App that doesn't match this guide, that's likely a personalised or promotional offer rather than an error in our research, always compare it against what's currently showing in your own App before assuming either source is wrong.

How Merokalam Verifies Ncell Package Data
We check Ncell's official Packs and Plans page directly on the date shown at the top of this guide, rather than copying older Nepal tech articles or forum posts. Where Ncell doesn't publish a specific detail, like the exact reduced speed on smaller unlimited combo packs, we say so explicitly instead of guessing. We haven't run our own speed tests on any Ncell pack, any performance description in this guide is based on Ncell's own published FUP figures, not independent testing.
